Jung-Won Shin


Pianist Jung-Won Shin has appeared as an active solo and collaborative pianist in recitals and concerts in the U.S., Canada, Ireland, and Korea. She has been featured in international and regional conferences of the College Music Society, the New Music on the Bayou Summer Festival, the Lives of the Piano concert series in New York, Rising Stars Concerts at the Orford Summer Music Academy and Festival in Canada, and the Beethoven Bootcamp in Dublin, Ireland.  Her collaborative CDs, Chansons de la Nuit and Franck and Fauré Sonatas, have been released. 

Shin has earned degrees in piano performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Indiana University, and Seoul National University. She is currently Professor of Music at Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi, and President-Elect at the Mississippi Music Teachers Association. 

Ege Sayar


Ege Sayar is a Turkish composer born in 1998. He just graduated with his bachelor's degree in classical music composition at the HKU Utrecht Conservatory (Netherlands). He studied with Jeroen D’Hoe and Caroline Ansink with a talent grant. He also did Erasmus exchange semester at Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg (Germany) with Fredrik Schwenk and Gordon Kampe. He will continue his master's education at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München with Isabel Mundry.

Over the past few years, Sayar has also taken part in various festivals, workshops, and masterclasses and got several commissions. He studied with Salvatore Sciarrino, Beat Furrer, Klaus Lang, Oscar Bianchi, and many others. His works have been heard at international festivals in Slovenia, Spain, Russia, the U.S.A., Netherlands, Turkey, Cyprus, Canada, Germany, etc.

The concepts he seeks in his music may vary. Rather than following a certain musical style, he tries to draw inspiration from every era and music.

Alex Burtzos


Alex Burtzos is an American composer and conductor based in New York City and Orlando, FL. His music has been performed across four continents by some of the world's foremost contemporary musicians and ensembles, including JACK Quartet, Yarn/Wire, loadbang, Contemporaneous, ETHEL, Jenny Lin, RighteousGIRLS, Decoda, and many others. Alex is the founder and artistic director of ICEBERG New Music, a New York-based composers' collective, and conductor of the hip-hop/classical chamber orchestra ShoutHouse. 

Alex holds a DMA from Manhattan School of Music, where his primary teachers were Reiko Fueting and Mark Stambaugh. He is the Endowed Chair of Composition Studies at the University of Central Florida, where he teaches composition, orchestration, film scoring, video game scoring, and music technology. His music is published by Just a Theory Press, NewMusicShelf, and others.
